Great Resort in MuiNe

Saigon Sleeps is a web site dedicated to the budget traveler. Many travelers have no idea where to stay, or what to see when they arrive in Saigon. At Saigon Sleeps we hope we can help you with this problem.
There are many great guide books out there that can help you, such as Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, and Let's Go. These guide books are
great, but they don't list very many hotels/guesthouses/hostels in Saigon. At Saigon Sleeps, we focus on the Pham Ngu Lao area of Saigon. The hotels, cafes, tour companies, and stores have not paid to be listed on this site. These are not advertisements. This is a free service to both you, and them.
We are hoping that we can make life easier for both you, and the residents of Pham Ngu Lao.

Saigon has much to offer for entertainment. There are many bars and restuarants that cater to the backpacking crowd.
Two great restaurants/Bars are Allez Boo and GO2 Cafe. They offer lively night life. If you want a more subdued evening, try one of the many cafe's. If you would like to venture out of the "hood" then try the M&TOI nightclub. It's just down from The Diamond Center. At M&TOI, you can experience the most popular modern Vietnamese Music. All the biggest music stars headline there. For more information on the Vietnamese Entertainment scene, take a look at www.EntertainmentVietnam.com. I prefer to spend a relaxing evening
at one of the local cafe's, sipping the world famous Vietnamese Coffee. If you just need to catch up on the latest films from home, check out the cinema at the Diamond Center. If you want to check out some older films, there are numerous shops in the area selling DVD's and CD's (of questionable quality/authenticity).
For those of you interested in, um, Let's call it, "Nocturnal Activites", beware of that pretty young thing that pulls up beside you on the motorbike and beckons you to come over to her... Let's just say, it isn't always a "her". So, user beware.

Pham Ngu Lao is a perfect location to base yourself while in South Vietnam. It is centrally located in Saigon. There are many mini-hotels to choose from. There are many
cheap restaurants, cafe's, and bars. There are many small grocery stores. This is also the part of town where many budget travel companies are located. You are just a 20 minute walk in any direction from the major sites. There are also many motorbike taxi's that would love
to show you around the city.
